被美國樂壇喻為「…自然，純淨，彷彿是潛意識裡最嚮往的溫柔」的Suzanne Ciani，她的音樂融合了電子合成音樂以及自己的鋼琴演奏，表現出一種清新及柔美風味的特殊情感在音樂中。
說起新世紀音樂，大家頭一個想到的一定是Enya恩雅，的確恩雅在他的音樂成就上確實已達超凡的境界，所出的專輯雖然量少但張張動聽。不過對於初次接觸新世紀(New Age)音樂的人來說，恩雅的音樂可能太過空靈飄邈了。因此這次小弟介紹的不是恩雅，而是聽起來比較清新簡單，並帶有一股溫馨味的另一位新世紀音樂家Suzanne Ciani蘇珊希雅妮。
Suzanne Ciani跟另一位希臘大師雅尼YANNI，都是我很喜歡的新世紀音樂家(還有西村由紀江)，如果男性音樂家YANNI的音樂代表了磅礡前衛，那麼女性音樂家Suzanne Ciani則是代表抒情柔美。在此先稍微介紹一下Suzanne Ciani，目前已出過拾多張專輯(包含現場演出，精選輯等)的她，被美國樂壇喻為「…自然，純淨，彷彿是潛意識裡最嚮往的溫柔」的Suzanne Ciani，她的音樂融合了電子合成音樂以及自己的鋼琴演奏，表現出一種清新及柔美風味的特殊情感在音樂中。而她也在國際上獲得不少美譽，如國際廣告電影節銅獅獎、葛拉尼終身成就獎、並且歷來專輯共獲得過五次葛萊美獎提名的殊榮。

她的音樂在創作上來說，在作曲，編曲，錄音及文案上幾乎都是自己一手包辦，也因此每張專輯都能表現出他想要詮釋的心情。在中途她曾一度罹患癌症而停下音樂創作，但憑藉著對音樂的熱愛，在戰勝癌症後繼續重返樂壇演出。更能了解生命的可貴

而1998年Suzanne Ciani曾到台演出，並與歌手齊豫合作演出了一首曲子[Turning]      。還為陽明山寫了一首曲子(不過這張專輯沒在官網看到就是了XD)，算是還蠻喜歡台灣的一位演奏家哩。

1982 Suzanne Ciani - Seven Waves
1982年第一張專輯[Seven Waves]，相當濃厚的電子音樂表現。不過在現在電子音樂發達的時代聽20年前的表現方式，會覺得很多音效都跟90年代電玩超任的電子合成音一樣~~XD，但還是無損他在曲子上的表現。Suzanne Ciani在這張專輯所要表現的是強調海的多變美感意境。所以每一首都代表了海潮的一個象徵意義。由於是早期的專輯，因此動用到電子合成音樂的部分非常多，到了中後期她的電子合成部份就顯著減少或是不明顯。

1985 Suzanne Ciani - The Velocity Of Love
1985年第二張專輯[The Velocity Of Love愛的速率]，開頭以[The Eighth Wave]就如接續上一張專輯的七個浪潮般，這是第八個浪潮。雖然只有五首曲子，但很多首都是長達8、9分鐘，值得注意的是，這張專輯邀請到曾因[火戰車]電影配樂得到奧斯卡最佳配樂獎；也是電影[銀翼殺手]配樂的電子合成樂大師Vangelis范吉利斯合作。讓曲子更加多變精采。這張專輯推出後美國All Music Guide更給這張專輯五顆星的滿分評價。而同名的曲子The Velocity Of Love愛的速率更是當時美國各大電台被極高頻率點播的曲子，可算是新世紀音樂劃時代代表作之一。
